Yet another injury...

Tyler was at my mom's house a few nights ago while I was at a work meeting. He was chasing Connor and tripped and hit the leg of a wooden chair. This is almost 48 hours later. That night when I got home from the meeting

Not a very good shot of him while he was sleeping

We are headed to Evanston and Salt Lake for a few days and Tyler is so excited because our hotel has a pool. He is also very excited to see his friend, who happens to be a girl. :) He blushes whenever we talk about her. Brian is excited because he gets to go to Cabelas. I get to go shopping somewhere other than the mall in Idaho Falls!!!!!

My sister inlaw was pointing out that all Tyler's injuries happen to the left side of his head. Odd I think but true, refer to the last post and the family picture at the top of the blog....Yes if he keeps all the sight in that eye it will be a miracle. Is it possible he is so left brained it actually weighs more? I doubt it but maybe it would explain a lot. I'm getting to the point that I'm thinking padded room with only round toys. We are lucky that so far he has not needed stitches. Both my nieces that are his age have had them in the last month or so.... Hey maybe it's just the age and he'll grow out of it, wishful thinking but hey maybe.
Well if the packing's going to get done for the trip tomorrow I'd better rotate some laundry.

Tyler meets the door frame. Door Frame wins
Monday morning Tyler was walking out of our bedroom in the morning. ( There are no windows in our bedroom and we live in a basement so it's really dark in our house at 7:30 am) It looks kind of nasty but when it happened he fussed a little but I wasn't really awake so he just went of and played a couple hours later we notice it wasn't just a bump but an actual wound. Yeah he saw it and he said that it looked like Nikki's head. (My neice had taken a bad fall the week before and had to have stitches to close her eye brow gash that went to the bone.) He did say that his was not as big and no one had to sew on his head so it was pretty little and "not so bad." He has since picked the scab twice so now has a super cool Batman Band-Aide on it. We took him out to dinner with us tonight and we were asked at LEAST 5 times what happened to his head, but had never been asked by anyone while there was no bandaide on it. HMM I think it was the shaggy hair covering it, which we cut tonight so we'll see how that goes.
Yeah all 3 boys got hair cuts tonight and I itch all over from it. I HATE cutting hair if anyone wondered.

Cake anyone?

Tractor cake, 2 4-year olds who love tractors...
The result.......
Lots of "plowing" More Plowing

Tyler and his Cousin Gabe and what's left of Gabe's cake

Luckily we ate before the plowing began

So we were at Brian's cousin Shawn's house for his son's Gabe's 4th birthday party. Tyler was sitting by the cake and decided to plow it. Well when gabe found out, then they both had to plow and they were having so much fun and we thought it was so funny no one would tell them to stop. The cake was totally frosing free before we left. When the tractors got too full of frosting they would lick them off and keep plowing the cake. Yeah we did not eat any cake after that.

Oh and these are pictures from my phone too so sorry if they're not the best.

Interesting outfits

Tyler and his snow machining goggles So Connor loves Mickey and wearing his hat backwards...

Our little gangsta'

So all of Connor's shirts have been getting a little short on him this month so when we were out shopping the other day I looked and found some shirts on clearance. The sweatshirtsa were on clearance for $5 for I let the boys pick out a couple. Connor of course picked a Mickey one and with this hat on he looks like a total Gangsta. I can't help but laugh at these pictures.
I appologize that the pictures are a little blurry, I took them with my phone because the camera is not where it goes.
Tax season is in full swing and keeping me very busy. this keeps me away from home at lest 3 days a week so keeping the house or laundry clean is become a challenge lately. Today we decided to rearrange our living room and did the weeks worth of vacuuming that needed to be done. I've decided not to do the laundry until the day before I leave for the week because I'll be gone for 3 days home for one and then we get to take a mini vacation to see my friend bless her baby and go to Cabelas and other Salt Lake area attractions like that. Looking forward to a little break.

Daddy's work days

So Brian is working nights now and so gets up about 2 or 3 in the afternoon and leaves about five. Today was not a good day to leave. Tyler and Connor would not have it. They kept telling Brian not to go to work and even got thier chairs and set them up in front of the door so he couldn't get out. I tried to take a picture but lets just say we have a glass door and the sun was shining in behind them. Brian always teases that the boys don't even miss him when we're gone or when he's gone, which during tax season means at LEAST 3 days a week we don't see each other. It was so funny I couldn't stop laughing. Brian would get one boy moved and the other would be back in front of the door "gurading it." All I could do was laugh. Got to love boys and their daddies. :)

A typical Saturday

So we had Brian's dad and older brother down for dinner tonight. Spaghetti mmm. To say connor loved it would be an understatement. Then we found some ice cream sandwiches in the freezer and this was the end result. Luckily right before dinner Connor had drug Brian into the bathroom to "go potty" and Brian decided not to put the pajamas back on. Oh and by the way the "potty" trips are just really getting the potty seat out, putting it on the toilet and sitting until he gets bored. No we are not trying to potty train him durnig tax season, that would be INSANE, oh wait that's when we potty trained Tyler last year.....
Don't you love the totally coated baby?
Makes you hungry doesn't it

MMM spaghetti, garlic bread, and ice cream sandwiches oh and orange Kool-Aid
doesn't get any better than that

So tomorrow is one of Tyler's cousins (Actually Brian's cousin's kid but you get the idea) birthdays. Tyler has been dying to go shopping and get the present and as soon as we got the present he's asked like every 20 minutes if we could wrap the present. Well he got tired of waiting for me to feel up to doing it and this was the end result. I thought it was quite funny.
Yes that is covered in Electrical tape and in the end Duct tape was added too.
The process of wrapping the presents.

The beginning

Trying to get the tape to tear because he isnt' allowed to use scissors yet.

Yeah I know not the prettiest prsent ever but he was really excited so hopefully Gabe will like it too.

We have been fighting what I'm hoping is just a cold but the coughs that Tyler and I have developed remind me that it is this time of year that I always get Bronchitis so hopefully it will stay at a cold since I'm working most of next week and then it's Valentine's day and we actually both have the day off this year, pretty sure that's the first time ever in our marriage.

Brain spent the day snowmobiling with his dad and brothers and since it's only the second time this season he's pretty sore. I on the other hand spent the day at home sick. Then a knock came to our door around 11 am and Gabe, the afore mentioned cousin was here. A little while later another knock and Gabe's brother Christian and Christians friends were here. I ended up with 5 boys here for lunch and then Christian and his friend went home. At 4pm Gabe's mom called to see if Gabe was here because the babysitter couldn't remeber where he was...good babysitter I know.
Well that's pretty much a day in the life of the Robertsons....

Tyler's first Snowmobile trip, in the field with daddy
Tyler went to get his pajamas on and came out dressed in his little brother's pants
Connor and his "poop boots" He would wear them all day if he could

Yes, yes that is a garbage can on his head,
he likes to wear it all the way over his face often too
I thought you would enjoy a few shots of how oddly my children like to dress. If they had their choice they would dress in the same clothes everyday no matter what they looked like.
It's been a pretty hectic couple of weeks at our house, not that we're ever home but you get the idea. I have been working 3 days a week in Rexburg, 90 miles from out house. My kids get to hang out with their grandmas while I'm at work so they love it. Brian has changed to nights so he never seems to function on a normal time scale. I have ended up working a lot more hours than I was schedules and dealt with people I will be glad to never see again.
Tyler and daddy loved their snowmachining trip through the field. Tyler didn't like getting cold so he came back in and put on his balaclava(sp?) to keep his face and neck warmer and then he enjoyed going faster than 2 miles an hour. They actually rode through the ditch and Tyler thought it was fun. He asks every day, usually multiple times, if he can go again.
We finally got internet again, after not having it for a couple weeks so opefully work will slow down and the blogging will speed up, but no promises.
