SO BUSY!!

Well to say we have been busy would be an understatement. I have had 2-3 classes a week for H&R Block in Idaho Falls and have had my nieces 2 days a week. We are also deep in preparations for Brian's return from Basic Training. The boys are more than ready to have daddy home for a couple weeks. I'm not sure they realize that it is only for a couple weeks before he leaves again but we are focusing on having fun while we are all together. I am getting everything ready for my trip to Oklahoma to Boot Camp graduation and the boys stay at my sister's house so Tyler can keep going to school next week and enjoy his Christmas projects and party. I have an H&R Block class Monday morning and then I catch a shuttle to Salt Lake to meet my travel partner at the airport and then camp out at her house until our flight Tuesday morning.

I went to my second baby appointment last week and Tyler really wanted to go with me. He got a really goofy grin on his face when we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. He was really excited to tell daddy he had heard the heartbeat but Brian only had like 2 minutes to talk this week and so he didn't get to tell daddy yet. Tyler also really wants to go with me when I have the ultra sound next month to "see" the baby so he can call daddy and tell him what we are having since Brian will be back at training by the time I have my ultrasound. I am finally getting over my all day sickness. I have discovered a few tricks and haven't thrown up in about a week so that is serious progress!! The boys are enjoying being able to do things outside the house now that I am not so sick, but since it's been SO cold and now it's really snowy there isn't too much to do now that I'm finally up to doing stuff but we at least go shopping sometimes now which is an improvement.

We are excited for Christmas and time just to get to spend time together and not have any classes or school or things we HAVE to do.

Oh the things to come...

Tyler was playing with my camera the other night and this is the only picture that turned out, you can see how rosy Connor's cheeks are from his cold.
This is a picture Ty took after breakfast one morning a few weeks ago, notice the cinnamon sugar still on his face from breakfast.

Well the last month has been pretty crazy, we are 6 weeks into Brian's 10 week absence. We are all ready to be done. The boys miss him and ask regularly when he will be home, it's starting to feel like that is the only question they ask most days. I am really missing Brian, and he is really ready to come home and not have someone telling him when and how to do every thing in his life. I FINALLY booked my tickets to fly our for his Basic Training graduation. I am going with the wife of one of his Army friend. I will be meeting her for the first time when I stay at her house the night before we fly to Oklahoma together and get to see our husbands and then share a hotel and rental car with her and sit next to her on a plane and oh so many other things I'm a little worried to do with a total stranger. Our husbands spend pretty much every waking hour together, they even attend church together and are in the same Platoon and have decided that they want to be friends so their wives should be too. I am glad I am not traveling alone and at least if I get stuck somewhere or sick or something there will be someone with me.

In the next month I have many an online H&R Block class to do, at least 1 test to take after I finish those classes, many butt in the seat classes to endure and all so I can gain the privilege of working again come January. I work with my dad and he and I have discovered there will be few experienced preparers (basically, him, me and our boss who has little free time from the paperwork to do taxes, and honestly far less experience than me) who will be working this season. We have to have at least 1 of us in the office at all times. Our office is open 9-9 M-F and 9-5 on Saturday, that means I will be working WAY more hours than the 12-24 hours a week I worked last year. I will be working many nights, which I haven't done since I was pregnant with Tyler(he's 5 remember) so it should be an interesting adjustment for us all, as my mom will be covering the time I am at work or my brother in law who is in school will be when we are both at work yeah should be really interesting.

Connor has been sick this week so we got to stay home today and just relax while my parents took Tyler to church. He is doing better but we are trying to keep him out of the cold to avoid the Bronchitis that is ever present in my family.

I took Brian's car into the shop to discover it had a broken axle and the brakes were on too tight, both of which I've suspected for months, but Brian assured me were fine. $200 later it is doing fine, and that price was much lower than I had anticipated it would be. My Expedition has been acting up and so it gets to go into the shop tomorrow morning, hoping for a similar price to fix but I'm sure I can't get that lucky twice. And why did they both decided to need to be fixed at the same time, oh because I was actually going to put money in savings this month, silly me.

All in all we are all doing pretty well and are really looking forward to some time to relax over Thanksgiving and Christmas break, but mostly being together for Christmas.

Family Pictures

Thanks to my Brother in law, Ken we finally got some descent and recent family pictures. Which is even more miraculous if you know that Tyler had the flu, and I was getting it. Tyler didn't throw up for about 2 hours before and 3 hours after these pictures.

The boys faces crack me and up and the fact we got any when they were looking is almost miraculous. Tyler obviously wasn't too excited about the whole thing but we kept his barf bucket with us at all times and the ugly dog in the first picture was the only way he would even come. I got that dog from my Grandma when I was his age so he just loves it. It has had many a repair surgery, with more stuffing added each time but it let us get family pictures so can't complain.

Just Catchin up

Well the last month has been crazy busy. We had Tyler's birthday party, family visits, and lots and lots of getting ready for daddy to leave. Brian was able to have almost a week off before he left so he and the boys went to Jackson for my brother-in-law's birthday, I was going to go but woke up REALLY sick that morning so didn't go. I'm sure I caught it from Tyler who had been sick the day before, or Connor who had it the day before that. We tried to do something fun (for the boys) as often as possible before Brian left so we ate at Arctic Circle a lot, went to the parks, and of course went shopping to get just the right present for daddy to give the boys before he left. Which if you could guess was batman pajamas, like with capes and everything, which of course they love and want to sleep in EVERY night.

We took Brian down to the hotel in Salt Lake because it was conference weekend and all the flights the army tried to get him on for days surrounding the day he was supposed to be there were booked. We stopped to get some envelopes and saw the weirdest looking he/she clerk I've ever seen, Tyler just kept staring at her (I think it was a guy who really wanted to be a girl). Yeah interesting. Luckily my brother in law needed a ride home from the airport the same day Brian needed to be in Salt Lake so I didn't have to drive home since it was snowing part of the way.

It's been 10 days since he left and the boys keep asking when he'll be back. Tyler keeps asking how long 10 weeks can really take but they both really liked talking to him while he was processing last week and had phone privileges. He is supposed to be sending us letters so we can have his address soon so they can write to him. Tyler has been practicing his letters so he will be able to write a letter to daddy as soon as we get his address.

Well I am in the process of making Sugar cookies and the dough is cold so I'd better go start rolling them out or I'll never get done baking today...

Tyler's Birthday

Well I know this is really late but better late than never right? Tyler had his birthday party a couple weeks early so that Brian could be here for it. It worked out well because my brother and his family were here that weekend for a family sealing so we had even more cousins here for it than we had thought we would.

Tyler wanted a Batman birthday and once again, not a store around here carried anything Batman Birthday but the cake. So after a little on-line hunting we were able to get the decorations. We made houre derv's (or how ever you say the snacks you eat before dinner) and that's all we ate but since the party was at 3 in the afternoon it worked out well.

Here are a few of the many pictures we took...

Tyler playing with his new cars

So funny story, we bought cool star candles for the cake but the wicks were totally burnt off before we even got it to him to blow out and so he is supposed to look like he is blowing out the candles

The cars he is playing with in the above picture

The cool Batman blanket from his cousins, he LOVES it.

Once again thanks goes to Broulims for making a cool themed cake, because well I am not any good at cake decorating.

We had a lot of fun and had lots of family come that somehow only ended up in the back ground of the pictures.

For Tyler's real birthday we made goody bags for him to take to his friends at preschool. They were a big hit and we got lots of compliments, thanks Dollar Tree :) his teachers made him a crown with candy on it, which i did get a picture off but with my phone and the cord to my phone is at our house in Jackson. But believe me it was cute.

State Fair

Tyler really wanted to try this Two Cowboys

Brian's dream, a dog for his boys
They were all so excited
Tyler feeding the goats
the beagle they loved so much
Playing in the corn
Tyler and loader, Connor and the dump truck
Tyler with the dump truck, Connor with the loader
The boys loved the corn
Tyler thought this cow was really cool
Both boys "milking" the cow
Connor really liked watching the "milk" come out
Connor needed to see exactly how it works

Tyler loved driving the tractors
I love this face. . .
You can almost see the excitement on his face. . .
Connor needed a little help
You had to turn them pretty hard to keep from hitting the other kids
The boys liked the fair and we were all exhausted by the time we were done walking but we had fun.

First Day of Preschool

Tyler was SO excited to start school. We were able to go to an open house a few days before school started. He was really nervous to go to the school the first time, but after a few minutes he realized that it would not just be sitting and learning, but fun and games with learning involved. My niece Nikki (Tyler's best friend) gets to go with him so he was glad that he would know someone because he is pretty shy. Tyler's first day of school
He has made me spike his hair almost every day, not that you can tell but it is spiked in this picture.

Nikki and Tyler on their first day of school
Tyler LOVES school and gets up early every day in anticipation of school. He really likes 2 of his 5 teachers and I hear about those 2 most of all. He does like to tell me all the songs he sings and try to teach them to his little brother. He gets excited about all of school and I'm hoping it lasts for the rest of his school career.

Last few weeks

These pictures posted totally in the wrong place but here are the only ones I have (reason explained below)
The guys who stood in for the blessing
the river

We have been super busy the last few weeks. My brother in law, his 2 boys, one of his friends from college and my dad all came over for a fundraiser for the volunteer firefighters in the area. We go every year and my brother in-law has always wanted to come and it worked out so they could this year. We then went to the figure 8 races in Driggs. (like a demolition derby and a race combined on a figure 8 track.) We then were went to Rexburg for my newest niece's blessing.
We were able to just hang out for a couple days just doing nothing. Wednesday (19th) we got all packed up so we could leave for New Mexico the next day. Brian had to come home so he could work Thursday. We made it safely to New Mexico to see my sister and her family and my brother and his family. My sister bought a new house in June so we enjoyed seeing her new house and just hanging out. My niece was baptized Saturday another of my brothers who lives about 3 hours away came up for that. Sunday my nephew was ordained a deacon so we all stayed around for that. It was fun having so many of the grand kids together (14 out of 20). We were able to all spend time swimming, eating, and just hanging out.
Monday we got to babysit while my sister-in-law went to her first day back to school for the semester. Her baby is almost 5 months old and id definitely not a social kid. He only likes his mom dad and siblings(he's even picky about which sibling though). Well somehow he decided I was ok and would only fuss if I had his as opposed to the blood curdling screams when anyone else had him :) Tuesday morning we headed home and I was not feeling well so I slept most of the trip and let my dad drive. Brian met us at my parent's house to bring us home but I still didn't feel well so we stayed at my mom's that night. Brian's mom just got home from Virginia so we went to her house Wednesday on our way home. The boys played while Brian and I went to Walmart and Barnes and Noble. We came home and crashed. (Ok did laundry and dishes)
Thursday we were able to meet some friends at the park and had a lot of fun. (minus the friend who got a puncture wound in his foot while walking in the creek) Friday we received a text from a friend inviting us to the "beach." (the rock/sand bar next to the river) I have never been so thought it would be fun. I loaded the boys and after three tries and maybe a mile and a half of walking around, we finally found them. They have a boy Tyler's age and a girl Connor's age. Connor was quite scared to get dirty (totally out of the ordinary for him) but then another friend came to talk and since it was a guy Connor followed him around like a puppy for the next 2 hours. I did take some pictures at the river :)
(Brian accidentally took the diaper bag home with him instead of leaving it with the kids when he left, not a big deal except my camera was in it so no pictures from my trip to NM, sorry)
We're just trying to have as much fun as we can before Tyler starts daily preschool the 8th. He is SUPER excited to go. He tells anyone who will listen that while daddy is at army and mom is working he gets to go to preschool and the fact it is affordable, taught by and awesome teacher, and right across the street from my sisters house make it even better.

WET WET WET

Today we went boating with the national guard. Brian's co-worker from the sheriff's office is in a different unit than Brian and today they were having family day to show their families a little of what they do. He invited us months ago so we were excited to go. We had rain all day and it never got above 50 degrees but they still totally loved every bit of it. Because Brian's friend is the boat captain the we got a private ride and the boys each got to drive. Tyler did really good. Connor drove in circles and after Brian's friend figured out that's what he was doing started getting the engines going to make sure it was a lot more tipsy than it would have been without his help. Tyler and Connor get good and wet and really cold even with their 2 sweatshirts on so we wrapped up in blankets and hungout in the tents on the shores until lunch. We came home cold and soaked but it was pretty fun. I did bring the camera but since it was raining so much I didn't want to risk ruining the new camera.

Brian had his wisdom teeth pulled and is doing well. He was sedated and hadn't slept in almost 30 hours so bringing him home was rather entertaining. I had to spend about five minutes convincing him that it would be more comfortable in the house than laying on the armrest of the truck(which he as no recollection of). He has no memory of coming home either which he found slightly disturbing, I just found it humerus. He is doing fine now and enjoying a little brother bonding at the movies.

Summer

So now that I can finally post pictures I realize I've gotten out of the habit of taking them so these are from my phone at the teton County Fair. Tyler and Connor on the train ride, Tyler LOVED it
Typical Tyler shot

This was right before they went whipping around the corner

so they were bracing for the turn.

We have been busy trying to enjoy the summer as much as possible before we have to start work and school and daddy leaves for boot camp. We went to the Idaho Falls Zoo a couple weeks ago and the boys loved it. We fed the ducks on the Green Belt and Connor loved throwing the bread right at the ducks and watching them get mad. We went to the county fair and it was both the boys first time on rides and they absolutely loved it. They also got to go to the figure 8 races with all the boys in Brian's family. Tyler got a free t-shirt and wears it whenever I let him. The boys loved it and Brian's sheriff's department friend ended up in the top 3 places so that was pretty cool.

This past weekend Brian had to do a fair booth in star valley at the Lincoln county fair (for the National Guard) and so we went down Saturday to visit him. We stayed for the Demolition Derby because one of our good friends (also from the sheriff's office) was in it. The boys LOVED it. I even enjoyed it since I knew someone in it, and he won.

We are now preparing for many dental trips, Brian is getting his wisdom teeth removed on Friday the 7th and I have to get a crown on the 10th so trying to hang around home and keep it pretty low key. Hopefully Brian will heal fast and we will get to do something fun on his days off but you never know with wisdom teeth.

I will try to actually take more pictures to post, hopefully I remember to...

Best Purchase EVER!!!

So last fall when I was in New Mexico helping after my sister had her baby I was at Target getting some prescriptions filled and was burning time while they were doing that. I had my 11 year old nephew and Connor with me. As were walking around the store I saw some Cars rain boots. I needed them of course because all boys who live in the country NEED rain boots, aka Poop boots. Well they've loved them and used them a lot and will use them for a while to come because they are still like 2 sizes too big. This is not what makes them the best though.

Lately we have been having problems with two mice, one that eats the poison but will not die or go into the traps. Another that runs across the traps and does laps around our living room but won't even eat the poison or die. Well last night we rearranged the traps to make sure it would get caught. Well it worked for one mouse, sort of. The mouse is caught but not dead. The other mouse ate yet another poison packet but wasn't dead. It was laying in the middle of our entry way floor. Well Connor decided to pick up a shoe and try to squish it. Not so successful. It ran under a shelf and hid for a couple hours. Well I was going out to put some shoes on the shelf in the entry way and talking on the phone to my mom when I Tyler came out. I showed him the mouse so he put his poop boots on and started preparing to step on the mouse. Well of course he chickened out but Connor thought it was a cool idea and put his poop boots on to join the fun. Well after about five minutes Tyler informed me that the mouse was not moving anymore. So Tyler wanted to get rid of it. I gave him a box, and using his awesome poop boots, kicked the mouse into the box. Then the boys triumphantly carried the box out to the dumpster.

So here is the ode to the poop boots of wonder. They make even the biggest chickens able to do amazing things. They've helped the boys learn to ride bikes, run fast and now slay mice. Totally worth the $15 a pair I paid just 9 months ago. . .

Busy, WET Summer

I would like to first apologize for still no pictures, our computer died and is getting fixed and the computer tower we borrowed will not read any of its USB ports so I can not download any pictures from my phone or camera, SORRY.

It seems we have been going non stop since summer started. We have been in Idaho nearly every week all summer long and I'm not seeing that ending very soon. My sister is 3 weeks away from delivering number 6 and so we have been busy helping out her 7 and 4 year old daughters with dance. They have to change costumes quickly and a 9 month pregnant belly makes it pretty hard to do and do quickly so we have spent a lot of time at dance this summer.

My sister and her 7 year old daughter had birthdays last week so we were over helping with the party and getting ready for my mom's family reunion. This was really the kicker since we were preparing for anywhere up to 250 people to come to the reunion. (That's just my mom's siblings and their kids and grandkids.) We ended up with like 60 most days and 100+ one day but it was really hectic and fun. My sister was able to come up from new Mexico and we were more than excited to see her since it's been a year for most of us. (I did fly down when she had her baby premature the beginning of November but most hadn't seen her since last summer.) It was fun to have the cousins together again and remember why we watch certain kids or groups of them much more closely than others. Tyler was surrounded by girls but loved telling on everyone for anything. Connor and Sam (my sister from New Mexico's son) are the same age but Connor is a little aggressive and loud for Sam and so there were many fights. The last day they really got to play Connor swung a little medal and hit Sam in the face. I asked Connor what he did. He said with a huge smile on his face, "I hit Sammy." Well after Connor had served his well earned time out, he was headed upstairs to play, well Sam was waiting at the top of the stairs and pushed Connor down the stairs. He only went down a couple stairs so was just really scared. My sister asked Sam if he pushed Connor, to which Sam replied, with a HUGE grin on his face, "Yes I DID." Well I guess after a week one retaliation was WELL deserved.

My sisters and my parents came to my house for an overnight stay this week. My mom loves the library and shopping at our Kmart because it has a bigger selection than the one in the Burg. She really wanted to show these two things to my sisters and Tyler wanted to show them the Candy store of course. Well after we showed those things, the kids were too tired to go anywhere else so we came to my house and napped and had dinner. We then went back to town to check them into their hotel and take all the kids swimming. When we got there we discovered it was an outdoor pool and in the shade now that the sun was setting. I did not swim but ran everyone to the potty and kept a count every couple of minutes to be sure none of the 7 kids went missing.

Now we are all enjoying a little break where nothing is going on and our house is getting cleaner. . . Well all of us but Brian who has to work 11 of next 12 nights because he traded shifts to be able to attend my mom's family reunion.

It's Official

Brian is officially in the National Guard as of about 6 hours ago. We are now a military family. Well I have always been in one (My dad was in the Air Force for 21 years) but it is new to the other members of my family. Brian has been wanting to join for our entire marriage but it's taken me longer to get on board. He will be starting his once a month drills in July and going to boot camp in October. Yeah for more time as a single mom!!!

I have been crazy busy getting my sister's baby shower ready for tomorrow. I think it'll be fun and hopefully it will run smoothly. Her other children are practically giddy about it. They are so ready for their new little sister to get here, too bad it's not for another 7 weeks.

Tyler is currently at a father and sons camp out with my dad, brother-in-law, and nephew. He has never actual camped before and was SO excited to go. He was really hoping to go with his dad but that didn't work out with the signing up for the national guard and all.

Next week Brian will be gone all week at a training to become a trainer at the jail. Yeah for even more time as a single mom. But luckily playgroup will distract us for a few hours and getting Connor his 2 year shots ( two and a half months late) and maybe a trip to Lagoon and the Train Museum in Utah but we're not sure on that part quite yet. If we do anything fun we'll put some pictures on here, but for now, there aren't any new cute ones to share, just lots of info.

Our new friend

We just got home from Brian's big family dinner at his uncle's house tonight and were getting the boys ready for bed. Tyler walked in to the kitchen and came back out really fast. He said "mom there is something in the kitchen I don't like." I go in thinking it was a spider or a mouse but no no no, it was not at all what I expected. I look at my empty flip flop and see a new pet. . .

Our new friend Lizard the Salamander. He was well loved by Connor especially. When we put him in the sink he was so excited he could barely talk. He was bouncing up and down and kept yelling to tell us everything it was doing. We realeased it over near our woodshed and the boys were sad to see it go, but were excited for it to go home.

The actual stitches

Pardon the dirty face but this is what Tyler looks like now. If you look closely on his forehead you can see the stitches. I took a bunch of pictures tring to get a good shot of the stitches, this is the best I got. Still learning to use the new camera.

First Stitches

They are a little blurry we took them with Brian's phone on our way to the doctor.
Tyler was outside playing after dinner and was chasing after Connor and tripped and hit his head on a cinder block. After some cleaning (the blood was dripping down his face onto his brand new shirt and not so new jeans) we looked at the cut and discussed what to do for a few minutes. I tried to call my friend who is married to an ER doctor but got no answer. We talked some more looked at it some more and I called my mom. She said if it were her she'd probably take him in but since Brian's family doesn't go to the doctor much we may want to super glue and buttterfly bandage it. We talked some more and decided that to avoid a nasty scar we should probably take him in. On our way the the hospital (since it was 8:00 and neither Urgent Care is open that late on a Sunday) we thought we'd stop by my friend's house. They happened to be just walking in the door, well the husband and the son that is Tyler's age. I asked him if he'd look and see what he thought. He said to reduce scarring and speed healing, he'd stitch it. He said he had the stuff there so he could just do it for us right there. We went into the house and he started with a numbing cream and then did some numbing shots and laid Tyler on the dining room table and did 3 stitches. I did not watch. Tyler did really well and held really still even after the shot wore off and he needed one more stitches. He cried a little but within a few seconds of being done he was fine. My friend's two sons gave Tyler a candy and a suction cup ball and he has been happy and content ever since. That was the end of a very long mother's day.

What we've been up to...

Well lately we've been up to a lot of cleaning, laundry, and dish doing. This was actually enjoyable, well appreciated at least, maybe not enjoyable. It's the first time in months thatmy kitchen, bathroom, living room and well all the rooms have been clean at the same time in MONTHS. Dang tax season makes it hard to keep up on well anything let alone everything. Last week we were outside at least for a few hours every day, this week, not so much. Refer to picture 1, the view out our front door, well not directly but you get the idea. Does it ever stop snowing here, I am SO ready for summer, well at least warm snow free days for an extended period of time. We've been having friends over to play more and now we can either play in the bedrooms or watch movies, not the most exciting tasks but better than nothing I guess. My boys LOVE to be outside and track in all the sand they possibly can. Pretty sure I empty about a cup of sand from every load of laundry their clothes are in.
Picture 2 is to show you Connor's new hair cut, I'd show you Tyler's but the computer won't load the pictures from my phone for some reason. I took Tyler in to have it done by someone else in hopes it would make it easier to spike, but alas, it didn't work as I'd hoped. I did find a nast paste type thing that will keep it spikey for almost all 3 hours of church. Oh well that's all he cares about. Connor's on the other hand I did myself last night and grabbed out the wrong length for the clippers and didn't notice til it was too late, oh well, now he and Brian have the same hiarcut, practically buzzed evenly all over, not my favorite but hair grows and Connor thinks it's cool to match Dad in anyway possible.
I did get the camera for my birthday and then found out it takes a different memory card than my old one and so can only take like 5 pictures so we're working on getting a memory card but since everything costs twice as much here as the towns we haunt every few weeks we are waiting til we head west for a valid reason such as my mom's knee surgery next week or receiving my 10 year award at the H&R Block banquet in 10 days. (How sad is it that I just turned 26 and have worked at the same place for 10 years. Odd I think, but hey an award is an award right :))
Brian has been gaming like crazy and loving his new flat screen. I have not gained the affinity for it he has and likely never will, not a big fan of the games he has anyway. I do appreciate that we now fight over the TV far less frequently but since his games kind of make him zone out, I do end up changing more diapers, breaking up more brotherly fights, and filling more sippy cups than I used to. Oh well I guess that what moms are for right.?

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

So we are still alive and SO glad tax season is over. The 15th was hectic to say the least. We stayed busy pretty much all day and to top it off, my boss was in a car accident that nearly shut down the road (it was down to 1 lane) for well over an hour, just as the high school was getting out. Oh and the lovely "tea parties" that were happening in Rexburg had shut half of the street down for hours before that oh so fun. With the car accident I got to stay late and help make sure every return was sent out that night. Yeah me. We finally made it home and we are enjoying not having to do anything right now. We did go to Idaho Falls yesterday so I could pick out my new camera, that will be here just in time for my birthday. Oh and since my sister-in-law's boyfriend works at Best Buy we go a really good deal on it, and so Brian decided that he needed a Hi-def flat screen for his PS3 and since Nick could get a discount we got the screen for him for his birthday, spending pretty much my entore monthly budget for groceries and gas in one store, go us. I am excited to get my new camera and have something more exciting to put on here but for now we are alive and celebrating the end of yet another tax season!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR!!

Tyler decided that Connor HAD to have a WALL-E party. After over a month of searching, I found Wall-E decorations on-line. Gotta love GOOGLE. . . The cake I ordered from the Broulim's (grocery store) in Rexburg, the brown blobs are supposed to look like the garbage Wall-E compacts, not blobs of well..... you be the judge... (oh and where it looks like the frosting is missing they were supposed to be tracks from WALL-E) Connor and his wheel barrow(sp?)
Connor had to crawl to the bottom of this huge bag to get all his presents...

A view of the many presents, after he'd opened a few...

He was super excited about all of his presents, it was really fun to watch.
(ignore the stupid look on my face, I was coaching a very sick 2 year old who was DONE!!)

Ok so this post is a few days late but we had his party a couple days after his birthday and I had to work so those are my excuses.
Monday (3/30) was his real birthday but since pretty much all his family was working we decided not to have his party that night. Which worked out well because he had a cousin born the same day (an hour earlier) and they did her party that night. We went to her party and everyone thought it was cool they had the same birthday since her grandpa and Brian's dad are twin brothers so they tell us all the time how cool it is that the twins had "twin grandkids."
On a sad note, when I was looking at the pictures on my camera from the party, my camera screen went weird and since it's at least 4 years old, I don't think it can be resurected. But my birthday is in about 3 weeks I think I actually know what to ask for for my birthday, for the first time in YEARS! Hopefully I get one so my posts don't get too boring.
My whole family is looking forward to the end of tax season so we can all have a break and relax for a few days and live like normal people. NO more suitcase wardrobes at least for a while I hope.
